Creative Machine Embroidery and their
special interest issues. Other magazines

Fiddlin’ Around.” These patterns include
wearable art, quilting and three

Janome as an educator in 2004.
Returning from last year!
Annie is a nationally known quilt teacher. She
has taught quilting and embroidery in almost
every state in the nation. Her favorite
passions are sewing and quilting. She has
attended more quilt shows than you can
imagine. Houston Quilt Festival and Paducah
are amongst her favorites. American Quilter's
Society Show in Nashville is another favorite
where her "crazy quilt" was on display.
Sewing is Annie's passion and addiction.
Whether the quilt or garment is bold bright
colors or tone-on-tone elegance with
machine trapunto Annie enjoys creating
using software, technology and doing
whatever is possible inside the hoop of her
embroidery machine.
Annie's quilts have been exhibited at shows
at the local and national level. Her projects
can be found on Janome America's website,
the Janome Digest magazine as well as
Marcus Brothers website. Annie is in the
process of writing an article and producing
samples for Quilter's magazine for their July
publication. Annie has been a regular guest
on Kaye's Quilting Friends. She loves her
current position as an Educational
Coordinator with Janome America where she
enjoys sharing her ideas with fellow sewing
enthusiasts.
Annie, and her sister, Lynda recently started
hoopsister.com. More on that later!
Marilyn began her career in the sewing
industry as an employee in a local Stretch
& Sew store in 1975. Within three months,
she was asked to enroll in the intensive
Stretch & Sew teacher training program.
Marilyn attended the college of DuPage
concentrating on fashion design, fashion
illustration, and flat pattern. Marilyn also
was an educator for Chilton Book
Company’s. sewing and craft division. For
three years she traveled over the United
States doing what she loved best – sharing
her knowledge and love of sewing.
When Sulky was beginning to further their
national education program, Marilyn
became intrigued with the beautiful threads
and the possibilities offered to again
expand and share her knowledge of
sewing machine arts, where she worked
for 12 years.
During the course of her career, Marilyn
has been a contributor to the Creative
Machine as well as several Chilton books,
and a guest designer for Mary Mulari's
"More Sweatshirts With Style".
Since receiving her first Janome, a Memory
Craft 8000, she realized she was working
on the best of the best, and became an
educator for them in 2004. Since then she
has taught at their Institute, and worked
with several Janome dealers, as well as
contributing to the Janome Digest and
Website.
